From the native grapes of Fortana and from the international Merlot, a unique expression of the Doc Bosco Eliceo is born on the sand. In 1528 Renata of France, Duchess of Ferrara, brought some grape of Fortana or Gold vine, Uva d'oro in Ferrara from France. The name results from "fruttana" by the prosperity of the vine and the richness of the grapes.
