Gutturnio Superiore DOC - 2014 - Colombaia is intermediale between Ri More and Ronco Alto. Its name shows the ancient name of the oldest vineyards near the town of Folignano.

Details

VIne: Barbera (70%) and Croatina (30%)

Alcohol content: 13.5%

Vinification: The Colombaia is macerated on the skins for about ten days with frequent punching down and pumping over. After the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic fermentation takes place which helps to reduce certain typical bitterness of Barbera. Only a part of the wine spends a year in barrique, the rest remains in steel tanks. After bottling, the wine has to wait another long period of rest in the bottle before finding the right balance

Gastronomic Matches: meat based and aged cheeses.

Serving temperature: 16 ° C

Format: 0.75 l
